Timmis Roadster

Since 1968, Timmis Motor Company Ltd. has been the manufacturer of these superb automobiles.

The Timmis-Ford V-8 Roadster, easily qualifying as the most authentically remanufactured automobile in the world today, is an exact recreation of the 1934 Ford V-8 Roadster. Each one is assembled by a team of dedicated craftsmen, every effort being made to build an automobile that is a connoisseur's dream, authentic and true to the finest detail.

Many of the parts used in the Timmis-Ford V-8 Roadster are long lost treasures.

The frame, wheels, headlights, grille and instruments are genuine 1934 pieces, while many of the chassis components, engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes and steering units have the same outward appearance as the original yet have vastly superior internal parts, giving greatly improved performance while handsomely maintaining the original theme.

The engines, the same basic type as were used in 1934, are the most refined version of the famous Ford flathead V-8, boasting 239.4 cubic inches and 125 horsepower. In comparison with the original 85 horsepower V-8 engine, they are of the same general dimensions, but with larger bores, higher compression and about fifty percent more power. All internal parts are of modern manufacture, resulting in one of the most reliable, smooth running engines possible. Acceleration and performance is impressive, sports-car-like and superior to many modern automobiles. In attempting to build an automobile as authentic as the Timmis-Ford V-8 Roadster, Timmis Motor Company Ltd. relies on suppliers around the world. The engines are custom built at the Ford of Canada Engine Remanufacturing Plant, Timmis Motor Company inspectors examining and selecting the parts to be used, prior to shipment to the Ford plant, where they are built into new engines with a Ford guarantee.
